Great hotel. We went during the weekday on the shoulder season, so we were able to get a 3rd floor sea view family room with two American queen beds, huge room bye the way + breakfast for 2 adults and 3 kids for $240 a night. We stayed 2 nights, place right on the beach which was phenomenal. Pay extra for the sea view!!! Bar was awesome, we were there during a crazy nighttime lightning storm which was incredible watching from the bar. Personable staff, clean rooms, amazing location. Definitely will stay there again!!!!

Gorgeous hotel with easy access to the beach. We ate in the Jameson bar and the staff were lovely and very attentive! Food was delicious although pricey.Would highly recommend to family and friends and we hope to be back again someday soon!

Incredible property. Beautiful hotel with a fantastic golf course, on site restaurants and bars. Staff extremely helpful and always ensure you leave happy! Highly recommended to anyone wanting to go on a golf trip or a relaxing getaway.

View from the room was great. However, room did not have hot water for 3 days. Food was just adequate, nothing special. No concierge and we had to bring our own bags to our rooms (we had a lot of luggage as we were on a 2 week trip with golf clubs). They messed up our golf reservation. Had requested two buggies for our handicapped men and they did not have them. When we said we could not play and it was prepaid they ended up finding one buggy for the men. Also were supposed to have caddies, not available and we ended up having to push a hand cart. Overall very disappointed with this hotel.

We had our wedding in Portmarnock in November and stayed two nights. The service from the whole wedding team was fantastic, in particular Sophie our Event Coordinator who worked closely with us leading up to the big day. She was so nice to deal with and very responsive. The staff on the day itself were also fantastic.Everyone was really impressed with the food, how the room looked, the Christmas decorations etc. Would have no hesitation recommending to anyone for a wedding. The rooms (we stayed in two) were also fabulous with incredible views, spotlessly clean and all of our guests found the breakfast delicious.

Great value for mid week rate. Beautiful location, on beach. Food and service excellent. Room a little cold and unable to regulate, seemed to be a central control.

The hotel itself is beautiful. I just ate in the bar. I had a fish curry for €28. It tasted good but it was mostly liquid. The portion size was minuscule. Such a pitty. I would go back but i just felt ripped off!

Great location on the coast with wonderful views from the room. The course was beautiful and well maintained. For a top golf course, the golf pro shop left a few things to be desired - no food at the turn or cart going around with food/drinks, for folks using the men's locker rooms there is no combs, cream, etc and also some of the shampoo/body wash containers were empty. They need to pay attention to small things that make a big difference. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and round of golf.

Great location to airport and sea.Located on a golf course with beautiful views. Rooms were ok but slightly dated . We were there in January so wasn’t expecting great things from service. Spa staff were non existent. No reply from spa.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view! The room was clean and the overall interior design of the hotel is astonishing! The customer service is really bad unfortunately.. the city cut the water that night and when I came down to the reception to have a bottle of water to brush my teeth, the woman was giving me attitude (really disrespectful) and told me «just go to sleep it’s late»… i couldn’t believe that she wouldn’t offer water and that she would say to go to bed to us. We were on vacation and it was 10h30pm.. the reviews of this hotel were really good before and I’m seeing that they are going down in the past few months..this kind of mean people at the front is explaining why .. If the hotel don’t put respectful people at the reception, their hotel is risking reputation issues.

We had our wedding at Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links in early October. It was an amazing experience. The venue was elegant and set indoor, with a beach directly outside. The ceremony was held at the hotel as well as the dinner and reception, which lasted well into the night. On Day Two, an excellent barbecue was prepared for the guests that were still there. The entire staff, including Holly, at the front desk, David, at the bar, and Connor, the wedding coordinator, were outstanding. Connor, in particular made sure we were well looked after the entire time, and was extremely helpful in coordinating the entire process. On top of that, the weather happened to be outstanding that day.I’d highly recommend Portmarnock Hotel for a hotel stay and as an ideal wedding venue.

Lovely location but this hotel is cold. The central areas do not seem to have heating. The bedrooms are comfortable and warm.Dinner is in the bar, limited choice on the menu and the same every night. The bar area is very cold lots of fire places with no fires burning.Probably a more comfortable hotel to stay in in the summer but the views are great and it faces directly on to the beach.

Great hotel in a lovely location, we had a disabled member of our party, and the disabled lift from the car park was out of order and seemed to have been for some time, the one at the bottom of the main stairs into the hotel only worked out once, the remaining time it was also out of order. The breakfast was down two flights of stairs with a disabled lift only went down one floor, work that one out...We were told on checkout that they usually let disabled guests come into the breakfast room from the rear doors, would have been nice to know when we checked in...Breakfast has plenty of of choice and is replenished quickly with fresh. On a plus point we had a full moon during our stay an I managed to get some good shots, the beach is lovely and clean, but very windy during our stay so we only got to visit once.

We stayed at Portmarnock hotel for 4 nights as Parr of a golf group. Unfortunately, freakish rain kept us from golfing but we managed to have a wonderful time for the overall event. The staff was friendly, attentive and catered to our groups needs. It is a beautiful location with views of the sea, although somewhat remote. Will require taxi to Dublin city center or to nearby towns and is not easily walkable.

The hotel is in a great location right on the beach. A fast taxi to the upmarket area of Malahide. The bar has recently been redone but in the same style which was fine. Golf club if you want that but reasonable price per room.

The location of this cozy yet fancy hotel is what I loved best. It is right on Malahide Beach, which makes a great break and distraction for holiday goers. My friend and I had some tea and cakes, which were delicious, as a small treat. I love the ambiance of the Jameson Bar 🍸. I highly recommend this hotel for its superb coast location whilst still close enough to city centre to reach using the various transport services provided in the vicinity.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in October, 2023 for our final day in Ireland as we wanted to get out from the hustle and bustle of Dublin. It was the perfect choice and so close to the airport for our next morning flight back home. The resort is amazingly situated along a long stretch of beach and the view from our hotel room was just spectacular. Our room had a comfortable bed with good quality pillows and the bathroom was spotless with a nice shower and plenty of hot water. We had breakfast the next morning and the food was fresh and tasted good, we had eggs, pastries, fruits and soda bread.Best part of the visit was the unexpected bonus we got in the form of a huge terrace directly off our room with amazing views of the beach and the golf course! That was really nice! The only one comment for improvement I can offer is for the dinner service, it took a while for us to get our order taken and we had to remind the staff we are still waiting a few times.Overall, we will definitely be back when we are in Ireland during the summer and take full advantage of the location and surrounding beach and golf course.

I had great facial in the hotel spa, very clean and lovely facilities. Mary was amazing - I came for a regular facial, during the facial she also did limphatic drainage and massage of the upper back and neck. She made whole experience super relaxing. Also in this spa they are using very good products Elemis, and it feels so good on the skin, plus smells wonderful.Such a pleasant experience, definitely recommend!

I'm just after my first night at portmarnock resort and want to leave a review otherwise I will forget and don't want to as this place is fantastic. Have 2 more nights and hopefully they are as good as the first night.Staff- fantastic, so helpful and polite. I booked with over the phone due to special accommodation, She meet all my of my needs and was amazingly friendly.Room - is really nice, beautiful views, clean and well kitted out with all amenities. As with most hotels I've found the telly is still from 20 years ago, getting a few chrome casts would make it a perfect room, as the internet is extremely good.Spa- had a look, not here for treatments. Gym is clean and welcoming. Having access to a sauna or a steam room would make it perfect.Breakfast - Amazing, platters of fresh fruit, cheese's,meats, cereal and hot breakfast options. Really good coffee. Personal choice the hot breakfast missed baked beans and hash browns but was beautiful all the same.

I've played the golf course several times and it never disappoints. In comparison to most other courses that are boardering on unplayable at this time of year, this course is in fantastic condition, beautifully manicured & maintained throughout. Brilliant challenge, fairways like carpets, greens like snooker tables and all holes have great views and overall the course is a lovely walk and brilliant challenge .

We had a wonderful stay at the Portmarnock Resort. The room was spacious and comfortable and the sound of the sea is wonderful to wake up to.We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the Jameson Bar & our breakfast the next morning with excellent service from the helpful staff.

I treated my Mum & I to a ‘Half Day Haven’ spa package here and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff are so kind & very thoughtfully walked my mum through all her options & gave helpful advice. They also gave us a tour of the Seaweed Baths & talked us through the process so we’ll definitely be back to try them soon. Great massage & facial. Highly recommended!

Absolutely dreadful check-in. Requested an early check-in, and we were told the room would be available in thirty minutes. Two hours later, we were still waiting. Totally understood if the room was not available, would have gone into town. We were told we would have to pay a fee for an early check-in. I had no problem with that. We finally left and headed into town and I got a phone call to say the room was ready (around 2pm) and they would wave the early check in fee !. We had to make our way down a corridoor past boxes of televisions. I had asked numerous times if any other room was available other than the suite we had reserved, and nobody answered me. Nobody seems to be managing the place. When we pulled up outside with our suitcases, We were told by I assume the valet person that we would have to park down in the car park. He watched as we carried our suitcases up the steps and into the hotel.

Had the most beautiful massage with Tatiana in the Spa at Portmarnock Hotel. The quiet room at the spa is so calming, the staff are very experienced and kind and I love the products. Would definitely recommend for a pamper day.
