The Parent Trap | Rotten Tomatoes (1) TIME Magazine Surprisingly, the film is delightful-mostly because of 15-year-old Hayley Mills, the blonde button nose who played the endearing delinquent in Tiger Bay. Dale R This is the movie I felt Hayley Mills really shined in and I really felt she drove the movie to the third star. I did not buy the parents getting back together and that plot point (the point of the entire movie) was wrapped up too quickly at the end of the movie. The supporting characters were likable, and the villain was so-so. I would have liked to see the grandmother from Boston go at the villain in a scene later in the movie. A good movie worth your time. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Dorothy F My favourite movie of all time!I love Maureen O'Hara, this was a joy to watch as a child in the 1960's and as an adult now too...It never gets old, love it... Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/24 Full Review Russell H Started off good and slowed down. A little long and sappy. I got bored of this one after 10 minutes, I turned it off Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/27/23 Full Review This is a great film for it's time. Children will love it! Beautiful color! Leave No Trace (2018)

It's not easy for recent movies to get a perfect Rotten Tomatoes rating, given the sizeable amount of reviews that are taken into account. That makes Leave No Trace's feat even more impressive. It's the movie with the most reviews featured (a total of 252) to get a 100% score.

What does 100% Rotten Tomatoes mean? ›

If 60% of reviews are positive, the movie is given a “Fresh” status, but if positive reviews fall below that benchmark, it is deemed “Rotten.” A popular piece of media will typically fall between the 70-90% range, but rarely, a project will receive a 100% score. This means every last review from critics was positive.

Is it better to have a high or low score on Rotten Tomatoes? ›

The “Tomatometer Rankings” connects to the practice of viewers throwing rotten tomatoes when disapproving of a poor stage performance; the higher the percentage a movie receives, the more “fresh” it is and, at least theoretically, better in the show business world.

How accurate are Rotten Tomatoes? ›

The site has faced criticism over the rigid way it reduces reviews into positive or negative ratings, often missing the nuance in critiques. Even if a film or show receives a three-star score, normally implying that it had a mixed reception, Rotten Tomatoes classifies it as a good review.
